Collier Award for Ethics in Journalism 2025

The Collier Award for Ethics in Journalism 2025 recognizes acts of journalism that meet the highest ethical standards in the face of pressure or incentives to compromise. It is administered by the Ethics & Journalism Initiative at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, New York University, and is awarded annually. Winners receive monetary prizes across multiple categories for student and professional journalists whose work demonstrates ethical considerations and impact.

Cash prizes for winning entries across categories, recognition of ethical journalism, and potential local, regional or national impact.

Open to all students and professional journalists.

Submit journalistic work published between September 1, 2023 and August 31, 2024, along with a 750-word written response detailing ethical considerations, as part of a two-part submission. Entries must be original and published work; submissions may include print, digital, audio, video, or photographs.
