Brighthouse Scholar Connections Scholarship Program

The Brighthouse Scholar Connections Scholarship Program awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented students at partner schools in and around the Charlotte, North Carolina region. Awards are granted for up to $10,000 per year and are renewable for up to four years, for a total of up to $40,000. The scholarship is need-based and may be used for tuition, fees, room and board, and supplies. Current Brighthouse Financial employees and their families are ineligible.

Underrepresented or disadvantaged students (including first-generation students, historically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, or students from schools with low graduation rates or funding) who attend a Brighthouse Scholar Connections partner institution full-time; demonstrated financial need and minimum GPA of 2.7. Current Brighthouse Financial employees and their families may not apply.

Gather required documents (personal statement, writing sample, resume, transcripts, letter of recommendation, college acceptance letter for high school seniors); navigate to the application on the Brighthouse website; fill out the application and upload supplementary documents; submit materials before the deadline.
