Information

The Hearst Journalism Awards Program is a collegiate journalism competition recognizing excellence across multiple media disciplines, held each academic year. It comprises 14 competitions covering writing, photojournalism, audio, television, podcast, and multimedia categories. Participating universities may enter up to two students per competition and schools receive stipends for entries. Awards are made as scholarships, grants and stipends distributed through the students' accredited universities.

Benefits

Eligibility

Entries must have been published, aired, or posted while the student was an undergraduate journalism major or minor. Entrants must attend a domestic accredited college or university accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC); photo entrants need not be journalism majors or minors.
