The AfricaLics PhD Visiting Fellowship Programme provides a visiting fellowship for African PhD students working in the field of Innovation and Development. The aim is to strengthen academic and research qualifications, improve dissertations, and prepare for a career in innovation and development. The programme includes a study visit to Johannesburg, with a stipend and potential coverage of travel and course costs, supported by AfricaLics and Sida.

Eligibility

Be enrolled as a PhD student at a university in Africa and have completed the first year of studies by December 2024; have a background in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Science and Technology Policy, Geography, History or Development Studies; possess adequate English; be actively working on a topic related to innovation and development.
