Medienvielfalt, anders – Stipendium der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung

The Medienvielfalt, anders scholarship program supports aspiring journalists who have a migration background or identify as a person of color. It provides a monthly stipend aligned with BAföG levels plus a monthly allowance for study costs, with additional health insurance and child-care subsidies possible depending on circumstances. The funding runs for the duration of the standard degree program and can be extended for a semester; it includes a professional training component and practical placements in media organizations.

Financial support for living costs, study costs, health insurance subsidies, childcare allowance, and a professional training program including internships and mentoring.

Applicants must be an aspiring journalist with a migration background or who is a Person of Colour, and may apply before starting university or up to the 3rd semester of their studies.
