AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism 2025

The AACR June L. Biedler Prize for Cancer Journalism recognizes outstanding journalism that enhances the public’s understanding of cancer, cancer research, cancer advocacy, or cancer policy. The prize is awarded to professional journalists whose stories appear in media targeting lay public audiences, and it includes a cash award and a commemorative award.

Unrestricted cash award of $5,000 and a commemorative award.

Open to print, broadcast, and online professional journalists whose stories appear in media targeting lay public audiences; submissions must have been published or broadcast for the first time between December 1, 2023, and November 30, 2024; entries must be in English or translated into English.

Submit an online submission including applicant information, indication of prize category, an impact statement (up to 200 words), and an electronic version of the submitted work.
