Efteruddannelsespulje

Efteruddannelsespulje is a grant programme from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to support in-service professional development for teachers in Denmark. It funds individual, practice-oriented short formal or informal courses aimed at strengthening knowledge and competences in science, technology and sustainability for pupils and students. Grants cover specified course costs and substitute pay to enable course participation and development time for improving teaching at the applicant's institution. The programme operates on a school-year basis with a limited total pool for supported activities.

Course fee; substitute pay/wage for up to five course days; substitute pay/wage for three development days to work on teaching or knowledge-sharing.

Teachers employed to teach one or more of the listed subjects at a public or private primary school (grundskole) or gymnasium may apply personally with their leader's approval.

Select an eligible course from the course list, obtain approval from the school leader, and submit the personal online application form (one application per teacher). Applications are evaluated by lottery and coverage criteria; applicants receive a decision by email in December 2026.
