Project Grants in Nursing Research

Grant Partially funded
Novo Nordisk Foundation Denmark 2026

Information

Project Grants in Nursing Research is a competitive funding call to support Danish nursing research at an international level. Grants fund 1–3 year research projects anchored at a Danish university, hospital or other non-profit research institution. The call supports projects in areas such as disease prevention and health promotion, treatment methods, rehabilitation and palliative care.

Benefits

Project funding within DKK 50,000–200,000 per year (up to DKK 600,000 total) for 1–3 years; funding is for project costs but not salary.

Eligibility

The main applicant must be a registered nurse engaged in nursing research and affiliated with and present at a Danish university, hospital or other non-profit research institution where the project will be anchored. The grant cannot cover the grantee's salary, so the applicant must have guaranteed salary for the entire project period. Projects may be independent or a defined part of a larger project (e.g. linked to a PhD scholarship or postdoc fellowship).

Application

Applicants must follow the 2026 'Information and Guidelines for Applicants – Project Grants in Nursing Research' and submit an application according to the instructions in that document.
