Project Grants Supporting Societal Learning for the Green Transition

The Project Grants Supporting Societal Learning for the Green Transition is a funding programme to support projects that innovate, implement or scale up sustainable behaviour and practices to accelerate the green transition in Denmark. Grants fund projects that foster collective learning, social experimentation, community engagement, citizen science, municipal development and partnerships across civil society, industry, government and research. The Foundation gives priority to projects related to agriculture, food production and consumption, and climate mitigation technologies and requires a practical component aimed at producing behavioural change. Grants range from DKK 200,000 to DKK 6 million for projects of up to three years, with a total of up to DKK 35 million available.

Grant funding (DKK 200,000–6,000,000 per project), eligible coverage for salary, operating costs, equipment, travel, publication and conference costs, collaborative activities, bench fees (where relevant), project supplements and certain administrative costs.

The applicant must be the leader or project responsible at the institution administering the project. Eligible administering institutions include public authorities, civil society organisations, research institutions and private companies (private companies only for non-commercial, non-profit projects). Projects must be administered and have their primary focus within the Danish Realm (Rigsfællesskabet).

Applicants submit project proposals to the Novo Nordisk Foundation following the published application guidelines for this call.
