SC CHEER Youth Enjoy Science (YES) Program

The SC CHEER Youth Enjoy Science (YES) Program is a two-year research and education program at the Medical University of South Carolina's Hollings Cancer Center. It offers seven-week paid research internships over consecutive summers for local high school and undergraduate students to explore biomedical or cancer research. Rising sophomores and juniors from specified Charleston-area high schools participate and may reapply for Year 2 if they completed Year 1.

Paid internships; exposure to biomedical and cancer research

Rising sophomores and juniors at specified high schools who are interested in biomedical or cancer research and have a GPA of at least 2.5. Students who took part in Year 1 must reapply for Year 2.
