Information
The Junge Islam Konferenz (JIK) is a network and dialog forum for young people that addresses questions of living together in migration societies, Islam in Germany, and issues of participation and plurality. It organises an annual multi-day national conference that brings together around 40 young people for workshops and expert-led discussions, and runs complementary formats such as a Media Academy, a Summer Academy and the Europe-wide Narrative Change Academy. The programme offers training, peer exchange and opportunities to develop and disseminate new narratives in public discourse.
Benefits
Participation in multi-day workshops and expert-led discussions, training and qualification formats (Summer Academy, Media Academy), networking with a national alumni network and opportunities to develop public-facing formats (JIK Talks, digital campaigns).
Eligibility
Young people, including those who are structurally disadvantaged or marginalised; specific formats name age limits (for example the Narrative Change Academy is for young people between 18 and 27 from France, the United Kingdom and Germany).
