Wissenschaftspreis

The Wissenschaftspreis is an annual prize awarded by the Austrian Chemical Society (GÖCH) together with the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) for early-career researchers in chemistry or technical chemistry. The prize of €2,000 is awarded for an already published or accepted scientific publication. Recipients are expected to give a talk at a GÖCH event and publication in the Monatshefte für Chemie shortly after the award is desirable.

Applicants must be GÖCH members whose doctorate was completed not earlier than the summer semester 2018 and who substantially contributed to the submitted publication; the publication must be published or accepted for publication and must not be part of the applicant's dissertation nor previously awarded.

Submit a PDF of the publication, a short CV with date of doctorate, a declaration that the work is not part of the dissertation and has not been awarded, and if not corresponding author an explanation of the applicant's contribution; send materials by email to office@goech.at with subject "Wissenschaftspreis 2026".
