Victor J. Dzau Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Scholars

The Victor J. Dzau Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine Scholars is a leadership fellowship program for early- to mid-career professionals in health and medicine. Selection is based on professional achievement, creativity, leadership potential, and the need for diverse geographic and institutional representation. Candidates must hold a terminal degree or have equivalent experience. Nomination by a member through an online portal is required.

Candidates must have completed a terminal degree (or have equivalent experience and knowledge), be early- to mid-career (generally 5–15 years following attainment of the primary professional degree), and demonstrate significant professional accomplishment and exceptional leadership potential.

Nomination by a NAM member via the online nomination portal; nominators complete a form with candidate contact information, a statement of support, and the name of a reference who will be invited to submit a letter. Each member may nominate up to three candidates.
