InnoBooster

InnoBooster is a grant programme by the Gebert Rüf Stiftung to accelerate university-based spin-off projects that are participating in the Venture Kick programme. It supports projects that can demonstrate proof of concept, secured IP, first customers, strategic partners and pilot projects. Grants are awarded to the host university or research institution to fund project salaries and material costs related to market entry and development. Funding is conditional on completing the Venture Kick programme and maintaining the project within a Swiss university or research institution.

Grant of up to CHF 150,000 payable to the host university to cover salaries and material costs for up to 1.5 years.

The project must be a university-originating spin-off and remain based at a Swiss university or research institution (ETH Domain, cantonal university, university of applied sciences). The project must currently be in the Venture Kick programme and have successfully reached stages 1 and 2 but not yet stage 3; applicants must commit to completing Venture Kick. The project must provide proof of scientific excellence, innovation, market potential and letters of endorsement from recognised funding programmes and from customers, investors or industry partners.

Submit a project application via the Gebert Rüf Stiftung submissions portal using the InnoBooster application form and follow the provided guidelines. Applicants must be enrolled in Venture Kick (stages 1 and 2 completed, stage 3 not yet reached).
