Information

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program for Finland provides grants primarily for students pursuing a master’s degree at a Finnish university. Awards are university-specific and cost-shared between the Fulbright Finland Foundation and the host university, with funding and benefit packages varying by award. The programme supports study and research across a wide range of disciplines and includes additional competitive travel or supplemental grants for certain fields. Grant terms begin in August 2027 for the 2027-28 academic year.

Benefits

Monthly award up to EUR 1500 (award-specific); possible additional supplemental grants for travel or field-specific support; exact benefits vary by award.

Eligibility

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree; academically talented graduating seniors may apply before degree completion. The master's program applied to must be predominantly on-campus; applicants already enrolled in a Finnish university or already residing in Finland are not eligible.
