Prize for Bachelor's Theses in Physics (Societat Catalana de Física / Institut d'Estudis Catalans)

A prize established in 2020 for final-year undergraduate (Bachelor) theses with a strong physics content presented at universities of the Catalan-language territories. Up to one main prize and two runner-up awards may be granted; laureates and their supervisors receive a diploma. Acceptance of the prize requires adapting the thesis into an article for Revista de Física.

Monetary award (€1,200 for main prize; €600 for each of up to two accèssits) and a diploma; publication of an adapted article in Revista de Física is required.

Open to university students and recent graduates who have defended a Bachelor's final degree project (TFG) in the 2025–2026 academic year at universities in the Catalan-language territories. The thesis must have physics as its primary content, be unpublished and written in Catalan, English or any other official language of the university (a Catalan summary is required if not written in Catalan).

Submit applications electronically via the IEC web form with PDF of the thesis, Catalan summary if applicable, supporting documentation, supervisor's letter, grade certificate and copy of ID; send the signed submission receipt to premis@iec.cat.
