How Do Academies Identify and Prioritise Policy-Relevant Scientific Topics?

A workshop exploring how academies and organisations working at the science–policy interface identify, assess and prioritise topics for science advice. It brings together academies, science-for-policy organisations and other relevant actors to share experiences, compare approaches and reflect on good practices in agenda-setting. Sessions will cover horizon scanning, strategic foresight, stakeholder engagement and the influence of mandates, governance and funding on topic selection. The event is part of a SAPEA series promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration among Europe’s academies and the wider science-for-policy community.
