Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) Young, Black and Proud Scholarships 2024

The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) in partnership with ATSICHS Brisbane has launched the Young, Black, and Proud Scholarship to support and celebrate young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, helping them reach their full potential. The 2024 round opens applications to groups as well as individuals in sports, arts, or academics, with funds aimed at enabling participation in school, training, university, or related activities. Scholarships are available in three categories: Sport, Education & Training, and Arts, with funding used for expenses such as travel, accommodation, course fees, equipment, and development opportunities.

Scholarships of $1,000, $2,000, or $5,000 across three categories (Sport, Education & Training, Arts); funds may cover travel, accommodation, equipment, course fees, and related costs related to education, training, or artistic development.

Open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals or groups, 25 years or younger, who live in Queensland and are seeking support for education, training, arts, or sports goals.
