Inlaks Theatre Award

The Inlaks Theatre Award provides Indian theatre practitioners with funding and mentorship for skill enhancement through recognized training workshops, residencies, or working with a mentor for up to one year. The award supports a proposed programme of professional development rather than production costs or tuition for full‑time theatre programmes. Selection is by application, desk screening and an online interview of shortlisted candidates.

Monthly allowance of INR 15,000 for the duration of the programme (up to one year); payment schedule varies by award length and requires progress reporting; mentorship and access to recognized training workshops or residencies.

Applicants must be Indian citizens currently residing in India and born on or after 1 January 1991. Applicants should be recent graduates or post‑graduates from a leading Indian theatre institute; applicants without a formal degree but with a strong record of past achievement may be considered in exceptional circumstances.
