Cultuurfondsbeurzen voor Theater, Dans & Film

The Cultuurfondsbeurzen for Theater, Dance & Film are grants to support full‑time study programmes abroad in the fields of theatre, dance and film. They fund studies that lead to a diploma equivalent to Dutch mbo, hbo or wo levels and are available to applicants who meet nationality/residence and qualification requirements. Awards contribute to study‑related living costs, tuition, housing and travel for the period of study abroad. Applications are assessed by an advisory committee and successful applicants are notified in writing.

Contribution toward rent, living expenses, tuition fees and one return trip; maximum funding up to €25,000 and up to 50% of total budget (exceptions apply for mbo).

Applicants must have Dutch nationality or have lived in the Netherlands for more than three years, must be at least 18 when starting the study, must not previously have received a Cultuurfondsbeurs, and must apply for a full‑time study abroad of at least one academic year starting in July. Specific qualification requirements differ by level: hbo/wo applicants need a relevant hbo bachelor or wo master (or to obtain it this academic year) in Theatre, Film or a recognised dance pre‑training; mbo applicants must have completed or be completing an mbo programme in theatre, dance or film.

Submit a complete online application via the Cultuurfonds application portal including motivation (letter or video), CV, two reference letters, budget form, links to work samples, diplomas and proof of admission (may be submitted later if unavailable).
