Meritorious Research Service Commendation

The Meritorious Research Service Commendation recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to psychological science through their service as employees of government or nonprofit entities. Contributions may include policy development, program management, funding, training, dissemination, or other functions that advance psychological research. Nominees may be active or retired employees and need not be psychologists themselves.

Recognition through the Meritorious Research Service Commendation

Nominees may be current or former employees of government bodies (federal, state, or local) or nonprofit organizations within the U.S. Nominees may be active or retired but ordinarily will have a minimum of 10 years of service; they do not need to be psychologists.

Submit a nomination including a letter of nomination (up to two pages), curriculum vitae, two letters of support from scientists, one letter from inside the nominee’s organization, and one letter from outside the nominee’s organization; email nominations to Suzanne Wandersman.
