APA TOPSS Charles T. Blair-Broeker Excellence in Teaching Award

The APA TOPSS Charles T. Blair-Broeker Excellence in Teaching Award recognises outstanding high school teachers of psychology. Up to three annual awards are conferred and winners receive a framed certificate, an engraved award, a cash prize, a TOPSS membership renewal, and a package of APA books. Nominees must be high school teacher affiliates of the APA (TOPSS).

Framed certificate, engraved award, $500 cash prize, free TOPSS membership renewal for 2027, and APA books up to $200 in value.

Teachers of high school psychology may apply or be nominated. Nominees must be high school teacher affiliates of the APA (automatic membership in TOPSS).

Apply online by submitting one PDF containing two letters of support, an original 2-day lesson plan, a brief personal statement (max three pages, double-spaced), and an updated CV. Nominations may be submitted via a nomination form (PDF).
