ZukunftsWissen-Preis

The ZukunftsWissen-Preis is an annual Early Career Award jointly presented by the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Commerzbank Foundation to outstanding early-career researchers. The prize recognises work addressing future challenges and related to the theme of the Leopoldina annual assembly, with interdisciplinary research particularly encouraged. The award is presented at the Leopoldina annual assembly and includes a public lecture by the laureate.

Monetary prize of 50,000 Euro and presentation of a public lecture at the Leopoldina annual assembly.

Candidates may be proposed who completed their doctoral degree no more than ten years ago. Eligible candidates are early-career researchers whose work is related to the topic of the Leopoldina annual assembly; interdisciplinary research is especially welcome.

Candidates are proposed (nominated) for the prize; selection culminates in award presentation at the Leopoldina annual assembly.
