IOM COP29 Youth Delegates on Climate Migration 2024

The IOM COP29 Youth Delegates on Climate Migration is an initiative by the International Organization for Migration inviting young people to participate in discussions around climate change, migration, and policy at COP29. The program offers opportunities to learn from experts, share experiences and recommendations, develop advocacy and leadership skills, and expand networks with youth activists and organizations working on climate change and migration. Delegates represent youth voices and contribute to the global policy agenda on climate migration.

Participants learn about climate change and migration, develop advocacy, communication, and leadership skills, expand their networks, and represent youth perspectives in global discussions on climate migration.

Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of COP29, have a valid travel document and be able to travel to Azerbaijan to attend COP29 in person, and demonstrate interest and experience in migration and climate change issues with a leadership or community engagement track.
