Seeding Strength Grants

Grant Fully funded 13 days left
Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) Australia 2026

Information

Seeding Strength Grants provide funding to young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and First Nations-led organisations, campaigns, movements and projects fighting injustice and building Blak power across Australia. The program offers two grant streams: rapid response grants for urgent campaigns and larger campaign/movement/project grants to support core funding. A First Nations Governance Group of young people determines impact areas and selects recipients. The program includes a streamlined, year‑round rapid response stream and a timebound campaign/movement/project grants round.

Benefits

Grant funding to support urgent campaigns or to provide core funding for campaigns, movements or projects; tailored reporting support.

Eligibility

Open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people aged 16–35, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander-run movements or collectives; priority to those aged under 25 and to grassroots, not-for-profit projects.

Application

Submit an application via the Seeding Strength application form; rapid response applications are streamlined and open year-round. For campaign/movement/project grants shortlisted applicants are invited to finalise a detailed application and video, provide two references, and may be interviewed online before final decisions.
