Sabbatsstipendier

Sabbatsstipendier are research sabbatical grants from The Wenner-Gren Foundations for scholars to conduct a research stay abroad. Grants are awarded for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months, starting on 1 July or 1 January following the application. The stipend is intended to contribute to additional costs incurred by the applicant during the foreign stay such as travel, double residence, health insurance and school fees for children.

Stipendary payment to cover travel, double residence costs, health insurance, school fees for children during the foreign stay; paid to recipient's private bank account (up to 6 months in advance).

Applicants must be Swedish citizens or foreign citizens with permanent residence in Sweden and must have obtained their doctoral degree more than five years before the application date.

Apply via Wenner-Gren Foundations application portal; submit CV, list of 10 selected publications, project plan (max 5 pages), statement on family situation and extra costs, and letter from foreign host confirming workplace availability.
