Building a Society That Cares

Fellowship
The Churchill Fellowship United Kingdom 2026

Information

Building a Society That Cares is a three-year Churchill Fellowship programme (launched in 2025) seeking project proposals that reimagine a care-centred future for the UK. The programme will award a cohort of around 10 Fellows who will learn from international practice to explore how a caring response can be placed at the heart of systems, services and communities. Projects may come from any sector and should demonstrate how a caring approach could address and prevent societal challenges.

Benefits

Opportunities to learn from international practice and participation as a Churchill Fellow in a cohort of around 10; overseas learning is part of the programme.

Eligibility

The programme welcomes applications from people based in a range of sectors, including those working in formal caring roles and those not normally associated with care. The organisers are particularly interested in hearing from unpaid carers and practitioners with projects that can apply a caring lens to services, communities or policy.

Application

Apply via the Churchill Fellowship online application form and follow the programme guidance and timeline on the Churchill Fellowship website.
