LS 2 Travel Grant

The LS 2 Travel Grant is a travel funding programme for PhD students in the life sciences, sponsored by Life Sciences Switzerland (LS 2) and the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT). Grants support active participation (poster or talk) at scientific meetings and conferences. Funding can cover travel (economy/2nd class), registration fees and hotel costs, up to specified maxima depending on conference type.

Reimbursement for travel (economy/2nd class), conference registration fees and hotel accommodation, up to stated maxima.

Applicants must have at least one year of LS 2 membership at the application deadline and be PhD students. Active participation at the meeting (poster or talk) is required; applications with an abstract submitted but presentation type pending are accepted.

Individual applications via online form. Applicants must upload a CV, conference abstract, list of publications and a recommendation letter combined as one PDF; indicate an LS 2 section on the form. Applications from individuals only (private Swiss bank account required).
