Fulbright Intercountry Lecture Program

The Fulbright Intercountry Lecture Program enables short-term visits to Sweden by U.S. Fulbright Scholars who are currently based in participating European countries, the UK, Norway, Iceland or Turkey. Swedish host institutions invite a U.S. Fulbright Scholar from another participating country for a short visit to lecture and share expertise. Travel arrangements are coordinated with the Swedish Fulbright Commission once a request is approved. The program is intended for professional and academic enrichment rather than conference travel.

Travel costs covered by the inviting Fulbright commission; Fulbright insurance maintained during the stay; host institution asked to cover living costs/housing.

Current U.S. Fulbright Scholars based in participating European countries, the UK, Norway, Iceland or Turkey; an established contact or invitation from a Swedish university or research centre is required and the host institution completes the application form.

Host institution identifies a current U.S. Fulbright Scholar and completes the host application form, submitting it by email to the Swedish Fulbright Commission; U.S. scholars contact their Fulbright commission or request the host institution to apply on their behalf.
