Grants for postgraduate students

The Tekniikan Edistämissäätiö (TES) Grants for postgraduate students are monetary grants for doctoral researchers accepted at Finnish universities. Grants are available as full-year and part-year grants, encouragement grants, and grants for research work abroad. Full-time research work is required for a full-year grant and applicants must be accepted as doctoral students at a Finnish university.

Monetary grants for full-year or part-year research support (specified maximum amounts), encouragement grants, and grants that may cover travel or tuition for research visits abroad.

All applicants must be accepted as doctoral students at a Finnish university. Applications are for postgraduate (doctoral) students.

Submit an application with attachments through the foundation's online service. Required attachments include a research plan, budget and funding plan (for full/part-year grants), travel report and breakdown (for foreign visits), CV and publication list, and degree certificate. A recommender (professor) must submit a recommendation directly via the application system.
