A. B. Edwards Medal

The A. B. Edwards Medal is awarded annually for the best paper on aspects of economic geology published in the Australian Journal of Earth Sciences. The award recognises important work across economic geology research such as exploration geochemistry, ore deposit genesis and modelling, structural analysis of mineral systems, and studies of hydrothermal, magmatic and alluvial ore deposits. The purpose of the medal is to encourage scientists to publish relevant research in the Australian Journal of Earth Sciences.

Papers published in the Australian Journal of Earth Sciences are eligible for consideration for the medal; recipients are the authors of the best paper on aspects of economic geology.

Selection is based on papers published in the Australian Journal of Earth Sciences; the best paper is chosen for the annual award.
