ASHRAE Foundation Travel Award (Herman and Dorothy Behls Travel Award)

The ASHRAE Foundation Travel Award (Herman and Dorothy Behls Travel Award) provides grants to help send student members to the ASHRAE Winter Conference and Student Program. Recipients are exposed to student activities, seminars, the AHR Expo, technical committee meetings and governance/leadership meetings. A liaison from ASHRAE Illinois Chapter assists recipients in selecting activities and preparing a conference schedule. Preference is given to student members who have promoted ASHRAE and demonstrated leadership at university, student branch or chapter levels.

Travel grant to attend the ASHRAE Winter Conference and Student Program; liaison support to plan and attend meetings, seminars, technical committee sessions and the AHR Expo.

Preference is given to ASHRAE student members who have promoted ASHRAE and demonstrated leadership at the university, student branch, or chapter level. Application requires a total budget for the trip and an ASHRAE membership number (if available).

Submit an application including a total trip budget, ASHRAE membership number (if available), and list of past ASHRAE involvement; application form available via the ASHRAE site.
