ISTA Journalist in Residence Program 2027

The ISTA Journalist in Residence Program 2027 is a funded residency for experienced science and technology journalists to spend 3 to 6 months at ISTA in Austria, exploring research firsthand and engaging with researchers. Participants gain access to ISTA’s research environment, attend campus events, and share knowledge through media training sessions and workshops. The program provides editorial independence and does not require publishing a story during the residency.

€15,000 compensation, travel expenses, access to 90 research groups, participation in campus events and seminars, editorial independence, time to focus on journalism, opportunities for media training and workshops.

Experienced science and technology journalists, proficient in English (other languages welcome), from any country are invited to apply.
