LSE MPhil/PhD Demography (Social/Formal) 2027/28

The MPhil/PhD Demography (Social/Formal) at the London School of Economics and Political Science is a postgraduate research programme combining social demography and formal demography. The programme provides research supervision, methodological training, seminars and transferable skills development, with potential access to LSE PhD Studentships and ESRC funding. It leads to a MPhil registration with the possibility to transfer to PhD status after meeting programme requirements.

Applicants must hold a minimum upper second class honours (2:1) bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in a social science subject with high merit (65+) in both the degree and the dissertation. English language proficiency at research level may be required.
