Infrastructure Priority Programme “International Ocean Drilling Programme (IODP³)” (SPP 527)

The Infrastructure Priority Programme “International Ocean Drilling Programme (IODP³)” (SPP 527) is a DFG priority programme funding research projects that use data and cores from past, ongoing or future scientific ocean drilling programmes and for preparation of expeditions or development of drilling tools and software. The present call invites proposals for project funding of up to three years, with projects linked to IODP³ science objectives and the 2050 Science Framework. Funded projects are presented at the annual joint ICDP/IODP³ colloquia to promote networking and collaboration.

Proposals must have a clear link to ongoing, past or future drilling projects and must be written in English. Applicants must submit proposals via the DFG elan portal; first-time applicants must register in elan by 27 January 2027.
