University of Hong Kong Graduate School Summer Research Program

The University of Hong Kong Summer Research Programme is a highly competitive 10-week intensive research training programme designed for outstanding undergraduate students from around the world. Participants engage in an independent research project under one-to-one mentorship, with structured research skills training, professional development workshops, and networking opportunities. The programme is conducted on campus in Hong Kong and aims to prepare participants for potential postgraduate research studies at HKU.

One-to-one academic mentorship with an HKU professor; HK$10,000 scholarship upon completion; airfare and accommodation support; prizes and awards; potential conditional PhD scholarship offer.

Outstanding undergraduate students in year 3 and year 4 with CGPA 3.6 or above (or equivalent); outstanding Master’s students with a Bachelor’s degree with first-class honours or equivalent; strong research interest and prior research experience; high English proficiency; mature and independent; interest in interdisciplinary studies.
