Honor Frost Foundation PhD Scholarship in Maritime Archaeology

The Honor Frost Foundation PhD Scholarship funds doctoral research in coastal and maritime archaeology at the University of Cyprus. It supports research on the eastern Mediterranean from prehistory to the Byzantine period and targets projects in geoarchaeology, digital approaches to cultural heritage and port archaeology. Selected researchers receive financial support to complete their doctoral studies and access to University of Cyprus research facilities.

Tuition fee coverage; financial support for living expenses; possible research/fieldwork/materials allowance; access to university research infrastructure.

Applicants must have prior and successful admission to the doctoral programme at the University of Cyprus; research topic must focus on coastal or maritime archaeology of the eastern Mediterranean with specialisations such as maritime geoarchaeology, digital approaches or port archaeology; demonstrated academic excellence at master's level is required.

Submit an application to the Honor Frost Foundation (foundation application form and research proposal) and separately apply to the University of Cyprus doctoral programme; adhere to both institutions' submission deadlines.
