The TechGirls Global Exchange Program 2025-2026

TechGirls is a U.S.-based summer exchange program designed to expand the talent pipeline in STEM. It brings young women aged 15-17 from the United States and select countries to a three-week U.S.-based experience with mentoring and hands-on STEM training, followed by a seven-month online mentoring period and a community-based project. The program includes a three-week in-person experience, cultural exchange, and opportunities for ongoing mentorship and leadership development.

Participation in an interactive Tech Camp at Virginia Tech focusing on hands-on training in STEM fields; cultural exchange and job shadowing in U.S. host cities; seven-month online mentorship; graduation ceremony at the U.S. Department of State; official certification; support for community-based projects upon return home.

Must be female, a citizen and current resident of an eligible participating country, aged 15 to 17 at the start of the exchange, with demonstrated interest in STEM and intent to pursue higher education or a career in STEM.
