Information

Call for the Summer Student Program 2026 at HZDR. The stay lasts six to nine weeks (recommended eight weeks) sometime between July and September, with students becoming an integral part of research groups and engaging in hands-on lab work, data analysis, scientific computing and theoretical study.

Benefits

Stipend; lectures and lab tours; one-on-one discussions with a supervisor; end-of-program performance evaluation; daily allowance; comprehensive insurance; local transportation.

Eligibility

Applicants must be international senior university students in natural sciences, life sciences, medicine, technology and related areas, with good academic performance and a letter of recommendation; English proficiency is required; enrolled as a senior university student; PhD students are not eligible.
