About this opportunity
The Indo-Pacific Young Leaders (IPYL) Program is a flagship initiative of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada (APF Canada). It supports a cohort of exceptional young professionals from the Indo-Pacific region to deepen understanding of Canada’s foreign policy, economic interests, and strategic engagement with the region, through policy research, public outreach, and an intensive one-week Learning Tour of Canada, alongside ongoing virtual engagement during 2026.
Benefits & funding
Participation in a one-week Learning Tour of Canada (May–June 2026), access to APF Canada’s policy networks, leadership and policy-skills development opportunities, exposure to Canadian institutions and policy environments, and ongoing networking through alumni opportunities.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold citizenship or permanent residency in an Indo-Pacific country/jurisdiction, have at least an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, and possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in government, international or regional organizations, think-tanks, media, business or academia.
