The New York Times Fellowship 2026-2027

The New York Times Fellowship is a one-year work program designed to cultivate the next generation of journalists. Fellows work full-time at The New York Times, receive pay and benefits, and participate in training opportunities with reporters, editors, and visual journalists. The program is based in New York, with possible opportunities in other offices, and includes a hybrid work arrangement.

Applicants must be early in their careers, can be recent college graduates but with no more than five years of full-time, professional experience, and must be authorized to work in the USA; international applicants in the USA require a valid student visa that can be extended with Optional Practical Training.
