Innovation Validation Call 2027

The Innovation Validation Call 2027 funds late-stage digital and AI-driven medical technologies that are ready for real-world clinical validation and approaching market launch. It supports consortia-led projects that run clinical studies, prepare regulatory submissions, finalise products and develop market readiness and commercial strategy. Projects must target digital or AI-enabled medical devices (MDR/IVDR) at Innovation Maturity Level (IML) 6 and aim to reach IML 7 by project end.

Grant funding of up to €850,000 per project (up to 50% of project budget); required minimum allocations for micro/small enterprises; funding for clinical validation, regulatory submission, product finalisation and market readiness activities.

Consortia of at least two organisations from different countries representing at least two sides of the Knowledge Triangle (industry, research, education). A commercialising company must lead the project. Eligible solutions must be digital or AI-enabled medical devices (MDR/IVDR) at Innovation Maturity Level 6, aiming to reach IML 7 by project end.
