The TWAS-Samira Omar Innovation for Sustainability Award 2026 recognises scientists whose work has a significant impact on sustainability-related issues. It is aimed at supporting contributions in multidisciplinary areas directly relevant to sustainability, with a monetary award of $4,000 funded by Professor Omar. The award targets women scientists who are nationals of Least Developing Countries and who have been living and working in an LDC during the two years prior to nomination.
