Enterprise Gateway Fund 2027

The Enterprise Gateway Fund supports VCSE organisations and social entrepreneurs to explore, test and develop new revenue-generating activities while building enterprise skills and organisational capacity. It targets areas with limited enterprise support, including high deprivation regions, to boost local economic resilience and innovation. The Fund awards multi-year funding to intermediary partners who then deliver onward grants and enterprise development support to beneficiary organisations and individuals.

Onward grants to participant organisations and entrepreneurs; enterprise development support; peer learning and networking opportunities; programme management, staffing and administration funding.

Intermediary partners must have a proven track record in supporting enterprise or trading activities, experience managing onward grants and financial controls, capacity to deliver enterprise development support, established networks reaching underserved areas, and an annual income of at least £500,000. Beneficiary organisations/individuals include constituted VCSEs in England with annual turnover under £500,000, organizations with a social purpose (charities, CICs, community benefit societies, CLGs, cooperatives), non-constituted organisations and individual social entrepreneurs across the UK, and entities working in high deprivation or underserved enterprise regions.
