Information

The Global China Fellows Program at Boston University is a fellowship for pre-doctoral and postdoctoral researchers affiliated with BU’s Global China Initiative. Fellows work with BU faculty, contribute to one of four research streams, and receive mentorship, networking opportunities, and institutional support during a full-time appointment with a stipend for research costs, travel, and professional development.

Eligibility

Pre-doctoral candidates who have completed qualifying exams and defended their proposal; postdoctoral candidates who have defended their dissertation by August 2026. Applications are open to researchers from all disciplinary backgrounds with an interest in China’s overseas economic engagement.

Application

Submit CV/resume, 1–2 page cover letter, 1–2 page working paper proposal, and contact information for two referees; international applicants may require institutional approval.
