RIFS Fellows Program 2026 in Germany

The RIFS Fellows Program 2026 offers a fully funded fellowship in Potsdam for professionals from around the world. Fellows work with RIFS research groups on topics aligned with the Institute’s themes for a period of 6 to 12 months and receive support such as a stipend, travel and relocation assistance, and housing or accommodation support where needed.

Monthly stipend; relocation and travel expenses (including for family, if applicable); possible housing/accommodation support; assistance with housing, school enrolment, health insurance and visa/residence permits.

Open to applicants from around the world across sectors including science, public administration, private sector, civil society, media and the arts; scientists should have a PhD or equivalent experience, while non-academic applicants should have 3–5 years of relevant work experience.

Submit documents including a letter of motivation, CV and project proposal as part of the fellowship application.
