About this opportunity
CIVICUS is hiring a Civic Space Research Officer to contribute to CIVICUS’ civic space research priorities, including the CIVICUS Monitor. The role focuses on Central, West and Lusophone Africa, developing curated research content and supporting the Monitor’s global research collaborations, and publishing high-quality periodic research papers and analyses of civic space trends. Salary information is provided as part of the position.

Eligibility
A Master’s degree in Political Science, Law, Sociology, International Relations, Journalism or Development, with a minimum of three years’ professional experience working with civil society organisations and/or human rights defenders.
