ISME/IWA BioCluster Award 2026

The ISME/IWA BioCluster Award 2026 recognises internationally recognised interdisciplinary research at the interface of microbial ecology, water and wastewater treatment, and engineering sciences. It is a collaboration between the International Society for Microbial Ecology (ISME) and the International Water Association (IWA). Winners receive a trophy and certificate, invitations to IWA and ISME Congresses, and interviews for communications (e.g. IWA magazine The Source and/or IWA website).

All IWA and/or ISME members are entitled to nominate candidates. Nominees can be senior leaders or young rising stars and must be members of either IWA or ISME (or both).
