The University of Helsinki invites applications for a four-year Doctoral Researcher position in the Anthropology of Humanitarianism as part of the project New Humanitarian Infrastructures at the End of Aid. The role includes ethnographic research in humanitarian settings, with fieldwork potentially in Kenya or another humanitarian context, and residence in Finland during employment. The position provides an annual gross salary and benefits as part of a doctoral fellowship.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a master’s degree in anthropology or a related field, have the motivation to pursue doctoral studies, and be able to secure the right to pursue a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki by the start of employment.
