The CBCF Walmart Emerging Leaders Internship Program is a semester-long internship placed in congressional offices, committees, subcommittees, or federal agencies in Washington, D.C. It targets recent college graduates and young leaders, offering hands-on experience in federal legislative work during fall and spring semesters. Interns receive housing and a $4,000 stipend, with pay distributed biweekly.

Eligibility

Interns must have at least a 2.5 GPA, be a college graduate by the start of the Fall program or not more than 2 years post-bachelor, hold U.S. citizenship or permission to work in the U.S., be available to participate full-time, and have familiarity with the federal legislative process and the Congressional Black Caucus and its members.
